Description:

This course is designed to provide teachers with theoretical and practical tools to create a safe, respectful and inclusive educational environment for all students, with a particular focus on diversity of gender identities and expressions. Over the course of five weeks (1 day/week), participants will explore key concepts of LGTBIQ+ diversity, debunk common myths, and acquire strategies for dealing with discrimination or bullying in the school environment.

Duration and modality:

The course lasts five weeks (1 day/week) and is delivered 100% online, allowing participants flexibility to access content and activities according to their availability.

Course Content:

  • Myths and realities about LGTBIQ+ children and young people
  • Creating an inclusive environment in the classroom
  • Dealing with situations of discrimination or bullying
  • Support with coming out processes
  • Inclusive communication strategies

Methodology:

The course combines theoretical content with practical activities, discussion forums and case studies. You will also have access to supplementary materials and resources for implementing inclusive strategies in the classroom.

Certificate of attendance:

At the end of the course, a certificate of attendance and a list of comprehensive literature to be used with the students will be sent online.

Tools for dealing with “hate speech” in the LGTBIQ+ community

Description:

Effective strategies to recognize, analyze and respond to hate speech against the LGTBIQ+ community.

Through an approach based on education, communication and conflict management, participants will acquire key skills to deal with these situations in different contexts, from the educational and professional environment to the digital and social environment.

This course is aimed at teachers, social and educational professionals, activists, diversity managers in companies and anyone interested in understanding and countering hate speech against the LGTBIQ+ community.

Description:

This course aims to explore the impact of guilt in the LGTBIQ+ community and analyze its origins, manifestations and consequences in people’s personal and social lives. In a 90-minute session, tools for emotional coping and building a positive and guilt-free identity will be taught, promoting psychological well-being and self-acceptance.
